JonesJOAN E.(née Groom) We are sad to announce that Joan passed away peacefully on August 12, aged 78, surrounded by her family. Joan was dearly loved by husband Harry, son Christopher and daughter-in-law Hinke, daughter Lynda and son-in-law Carl, grandsons Harry, Calvin and Sjoerd, her brother Bernard and sister-in-law Doreen, her nephew Mark, her niece Lorraine, their families and her many friends. Prior to retirement in 2005 she proudly served the community of Heywood for 30 years as an Optometrist and was held in high regard by her many patients and colleagues. She will also be dearly missed by friends at the Lancashire Aero Club and other clubs to which she belonged. The funeral is on Thursday 26th August 2021 at 2:00 pm at Christ Church, Heaton and afterwards at The Victoria Inn, Markland Hill. Family flowers only please.
